Dog Adoption Volunteer - Grandville PetSmart (Saturdays)

Description: Lake Haven partners with the Grandville, MI PetSmart to adopt cats and dogs who would otherwise be euthanized. At our Saturday Adoption Days at PetSmart, dogs are available to meet and adopt without an appointment.  Lake Haven holds these adoption events several Saturdays throughout each month.  We typically hold the events the first three Saturdays of each month from 12PM until 3PM.  Volunteers are needed at these events to assist with the adoption process, help control dogs /puppies, clean up accidents and answer adoption questions from customers. 

Requirements: Lake Haven volunteers must be 18 years of age or older or accompanied by an adult volunteer.  We are looking for volunteers who can commit to at least one Saturday shift per month.  You must be comfortable around dogs and be strong enough to hold onto a dog’s leash that might pull.  Additional training will be provided.  Transportation to and from the Grandville PetSmart is required.
