Animal Transport Volunteer

Description: Lake Haven is in need of volunteer drivers to transport animals between the Newaygo shelter and the Grand Rapids area for adoption and medical services.

Requirements: Lake Haven volunteer drivers must be 18 years of age or older and have a valid driver’s license with no restrictions.  We are looking for volunteers who can commit to a round trip from the Newaygo shelter to the Grand Rapids area at least once a month.  Drivers need to provide their own transportation.  Drivers must be comfortable around cats and dogs.  Additional training will be provided.

Lake Haven is run by the kindness, hard work and dedication of its nearly 100 volunteers.  Volunteering is a great way to earn class credit, add a skill to your resume, build character and give back to the community.  We are always looking for the right volunteers to perform a variety of tasks.  If you are interested in any of our volunteer opportunities, please fill out our volunteer form at www.lakehavenrescue.org/volunteer.
